Deichmann grows in 2011
Thanks to 156 million shoes sold worldwide in 2011, the Deichmann group exceeded all expectations of business. 2010 was an exceptional year with the most highest growth rate of the last 20 years, therefore it was very difficult to excel it.
In spite of the difficult economic situation and the raw material, salary and energy price increases, the German group still managed to rise the turnover from 3.93 billion euros in 2010 to 4.31 billion in 2011.
Deichmann will open 12 new stores in Italy and will start the online shop service in Italy, Sweden, Poland and Turkey.
